Visited the lakes briefly during the late afternoon, and it was good to see that quite a lot of the ice had melted since yesterday. At Engine Pool, the Great Crested Grebe was still present whilst a Kingfisher was heard, and 2 Mute Swans were at Windmill Pool. A total of 12+ Herring Gulls was notable.
